TEPTA Lighting’s Year-End Gathering: Nevzat Sayın’s “Labyrinth Images” Exhibition Opens at Galata Rum School

The “Labyrinth Images” exhibition by Nevzat Sayın will be open to art enthusiasts from December 3, 2024, to January 19, 2025, within the historic ambiance of Galata Rum School. Organized in collaboration with Siyah Beyaz Gallery and supported by TEPTA Lighting, this exhibition marks the debut of the mezzanine gallery at Galata Rum School, offering visitors a fresh perspective on the space.

Known for his architectural and artistic achievements, Nevzat Sayın presents abstract images and spatial imaginations through an approach that pushes the boundaries of printmaking techniques. These images, accumulated over years in his sketchbooks, are magnified, reduced, fragmented, and reassembled, offering viewers both a technical and intellectual journey of discovery. The exhibition invites art lovers seeking not only a visual but also a mental experience.

Nevzat Sayın: Where Architecture Meets Art
Born in 1954 in Dörtyol, Hatay, Nevzat Sayın gained recognition in Turkish architecture after founding his own studio following his education in architecture. Sayın has taught architecture at various universities in cities like Ankara, Istanbul, and Eskişehir. In addition to being an architect, he is distinguished for his artistic identity. Known for his minimalist, innovative, and original solutions, Sayın believes that architecture extends beyond structures and serves as a domain for thought and creativity. With numerous award-winning projects to his name, he aims to create new narratives at the intersection of architecture and art.

TEPTA Lighting: Illuminating Culture and Art
Founded in 1991, TEPTA Lighting has played a pioneering role in delivering effective lighting solutions for numerous architectural, cultural, and artistic projects both in Turkey and abroad.
